Just because you see a photo of a lean and ripped body on Instagram doesn't mean they're healthy. It just means they eat fewer calories than they burn. Their photo doesn't tell you about their mental health. Are they happy. Are they spending time with their family. A photo doesn't tell you about their spiritual health. Does their life have a purpose. Are they giving back to society. A photo doesn't tell you about their internal health. Are their hormones balanced. Is their metabolism working appropriately. Is there a balance between physical, psychological, emotional and mental health? Keep that in mind next time you see someone jacked to the gills and ripped to the core and it makes you feel like you don't have your shit together. #ragganagli #naglinn #healthspo #fitatforty #empowerment #fitness #womenwholift #girlswithmuscles #dullermedmuller #balance #fitfamdk #psychology #teamua #underarmouriceland #nowiceland #healthylifestyle #healthhabits A lean body is not always synonymous with a healthy body. Sometimes you’re just gorgeous. Sometimes you just scrub up good. Sometimes you just want to show off. I get that, and I will advocate for selfies + pics of you + owning your looks all day err day . BUT, I don’t these pictures are of any value for anyone. They are in no way the impact I wanna make on peoples’ lives . When it comes to actual business-building, ass shots, modeling photos and ripped midsections won’t get the job done. . Do they get eyes? Sure. Might they inspire some people to hit the gym? Maybe. But there’s no way to measure that. They will for sure though encourage creepy DMs from random strangers. . But if you just have selfies with no content, they don’t equate to any value or service to anyone. These will attract the wrong crowd. . I want to reach people who want a healthy relationship to their body, food and exercise and elevate their mindset. I have three psychology degrees and over 15 years of experience helping people, both as a personal trainer and later as a therapist. I want to use that brain space to reach more people on social media. I want to be able to do that without hours of makeup and a glamorous photo. . I want to do everything I can to add massive value to people’s lives: I share stories, tools, strategies, workouts, recipes, tips and lots more for healthy and balanced living. It’s not about me, it’s about providing actual solutions, life hacks and tools. . . Real pages prioritize metrics that matter: education, value, information, inspiration. If I don’t have those things I don’t have a business. How many Likes my face gets is not a priority (tho it does look pretty good in that pic, ha!). We have been taught to avoid food and that food is something to be feared. What if instead of avoiding food we start to approach it? When constantly trying to avoid it perpetuates the all-or-nothing behaviour of labelling some food as "bad". Making eating it a bigger deal than it actually is from a caloric or health standpoint. I want to move towards a more flexible model beyond measurement and grams. I want to get people out of rigid rules around eating. I want people to feel empowered to approach food with wonder and excitement. I want people to add food instead of taking away. To explore all the options that are both healthy and delicious. Instead of focusing on what they can't have, they have to find everything they can and want. That shifts your mindset from scarcity to abundance. That means no longer feelings of deprivation.
